Reconstruction of control tower successfully completed
Dear customers,
During the last closure of our airport, another stage of the control tower renovation took place. This included the completion of electrical and data distribution for the new ATM system, dismantling of existing technology at the ATS station, replacement of floor coverings and technical furniture, and subsequent reinstallation of technology into new consoles. This also involved painting the staircase, technical hall, and other areas of the tower.
At the beginning of next year, we will replace the currently operated LETVIS surveillance system with the new ERIS system. This system is designed for radar air traffic control, which also includes technical monitoring, system administration, and a simulator for training existing and new controllers.
Replacing the system is a time-consuming and costly process, but it’s all about making sure we have modern and reliable tech for our airport.
Thanks to everyone involved in the project.
